Jasmine (a.k.a. Jazi J) was introduced to a woody skimboard in Summer of 2000. She was given her first board as a gift from a close friend later that year. She chose the lifestyle of being a hardcore skimboarder because she rarely saw females out at the beach charging . . .
Alexandra Walter Environmental Visionary
Alexandra is the twin soul & biological sister of our late founder, Arthur Walter. He is the reason why she started skimming in 2002. Since then, her perception on life has taken a leap of faith by enjoying every moment of it because she understands our time on Earth is way too short. Alexandra's philosophy, "Humility is the key to happiness", is a simple message for all humanity. For her it is easy to find peace in Mother Nature (especially the Ocean) & in the positive vibrations of others. S3 feels the same as Alexandra & believes this is how every1 could live in harmony.
Joseph Lao a.k.a. Squid So Cal Head Rep
Squid have differentiated from their ancestral molluscs in such a way that the body plan has been condensed antero-posteriorly and extended dorso-ventrally. What before may have been the foot of the ancestor is now modified into a complex set of tentacles & highly developed sense organs, including advanced eyes similar to those of vertebrates. The shell of the ancestor has been lost, with only an internal gladius remaining.
This is Squid. He's not your ordinary specimen. One word to describe him would be LOYAL. Seal Beach is his favorite break because it is only a pop, skim & a pump from his hometown --- Carson, CA. Watch out for this guy! He charges dawn patrol if must & reps S3 to its fullest exponent.
Hunter Trevelyan Wyndham Primary Artist & Illustrator
The eyes of artists are rarely ordinary. They are often searching or seeking something of inspiration like a hunter in different elements finding a new direction. In this situation, these artists become visionaries with a responsibility of bringing awareness to worldwide issues by sharing their positive ideas. Collaborating from individual standpoints through original genres of art will hopefully form a strong rope which will tie our restless culture together in this new age. Now is the time for these special artists to communicate with others who do not manifest an optimistic future.
H.T. Wyndham embodies such a lifestyle through photography, illustration, and fine art. His wild fascination of traveling to far off places and expressing his passion for languages is due to his diverse ancestry. He grew up embracing Oregon's forest green landscapes covered in frosty rain with a desire to also thrive in busy urban areas. As a young adult, Wyndham found tranquility within the powerful energy of the Pacific Ocean stretched out between Hawai'i & California.
Discovering Mother Nature as a muse takes Wyndham where he needs to be in order to feel balanced. Martial arts, surfing & sk8boarding compel him on the other side of his fluid drive. His goal is to establish himself as a multidisciplinary artist dedicated to the growth of extreme board sports and the conservation of planet Earth in its raw beauty.
